EXPLAINED : SAMARTH SCHEME FOR TEXTILE SECTOR

About Samarth Scheme

The ‘Scheme for Capacity Building in Textile Sector (SCBTS)’ to be known by the name “समर्थ (Samarth)”, which signifies the broad objective of the scheme to skill the youth for gainful and sustainable employment in the textile sector.

Objectives of the Scheme

To provide demand driven, placement oriented National Skills Qualifications Framework (NSQF) compliant skilling programmes to incentivize and supplement the efforts of the industry in creating jobs in the organized textile and related sectors, covering the entire value chain of textile, excluding Spinning and Weaving.

To promote skilling and skill upgradation in the traditional sectors of handlooms, handicrafts, sericulture and jute.

To enable provision of sustainable livelihood either by wage or self employment to all sections of the society across the country.

It would target to train 10.00 lakh persons (9 lakhs in organised & 1 lakh in traditional sector).

Atal Tunnel

प्रधानमंत्री मोदी ने दुनिया की सबसे लंबी ‘अटल सुरंग’ का किया उद्घाटन अटल सुरंग दुनिया में सबसे लंबी राजमार्ग सुरंग है. 9.02 किलोमीटर लंबी सुरंग मनाली को वर्ष भर लाहौल स्पीति घाटी से जोड़े रखेगी. प्रधानमंत्री नरेंद्र मोदी ने 03 अक्टूबर 2020 को हिमाचल प्रदेश के रोहतांग में रणनीतिक रूप से महत्वपूर्ण अटल सुरंग (Atal Tunnel) का उद्घाटन किया. अटल सुरंग दुनिया की सबसे लंबी राजमार्ग सुरंग है. इस सुरंग के कारण मनाली और लेह के बीच की दूरी 46 किलोमीटर कम हो जाएगी और यात्रा का समय भी चार से पांच घंटे कम हो जाएगा. प्रधानमंत्री मोदी ने दुनिया की सबसे लंबी हाइवे टनल 'अटल सुरंग' का उद्घाटन किया है. अब यह टनल आम लोगों की आवाजाही के लिए खुल जाएगी. इस मौके पर रक्षामंत्री राजनाथ सिंह और हिमाचल प्रदेश के मुख्‍यमंत्री जय राम ठाकुर भी मौजूद रहे. यह सुरंग भारत और चीन की सीमा से ज्‍यादा दूर नहीं है इसलिए रणनीतिक रूप से भी बेहद अहम है. प्रधानमंत्री ने क्‍या कहा? प्रधानमंत्री मोदी ने कहा कि आज सिर्फ अटल जी का ही सपना नहीं पूरा हुआ है, आज हिमाचल प्रदेश के करोड़ों लोगों का भी दशकों पुराना इंतजार खत्म हुआ ह...
